What did you do this past week?

This past week, my group and I worked on getting Phase 1 of the project completed. We consistently met and made sure we were on task and discussed the project consistently. After finishing our tasks, we submitted on time, and are taking a brief break before getting started on the next phase of the project.

What’s in your way?

Currently, there is nothing in my way. I am happy that we got Phase 1 completed smoothly, and I need to focus on getting assignments completed in all my classes and staying on task for this project as well.

What will you do next week?

Next week, my group and I will begin working on the second phase of the project, as we need to get started on that quickly for things to run smoothly. In addition to that, I will also consistently attend lectures, and make sure I am on task for that. I also need to get started on projects for some of my other classes and work on those.

If you read it, what did you think of the Open-Closed Principle?

I thought the Open-Closed Principle though familiar, was a good concept to read and solidify my knowledge on. I think these are important concepts in Object-Oriented programming.

What was your experience of iterators and reduce2? (this question will vary, week to week)

Iterators are good to learn about, and having learned about this concept in C++ through OOP helped me solidify my understanding of these concepts a lot better. The exercise went well, and I like the fact that we get to work in groups in this exercise and learn the ways others like to think and approach these problems.

What made you happy this week?

Something that made me happy this week was the fact that I got to complete my assignments on time and take a nice walk outside. It is easy to stay inside all day, especially when you have a lot of assignments due, and I think it is important to get some well-deserved sunlight!

What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

My tip of the week is VSCode! It is a great way to edit code and even has a built-in terminal for you to run your code in a much easier way.
